Godrej Agrovet zooms as Govt allots area in Telangana for oil palm cultivation

Godrej Agrovet is currently trading at Rs. 556.20, up by 6.60 points or 1.20% from its previous closing of Rs. 549.60 on the BSE.

The scrip opened at Rs. 560.00 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 565.85 and Rs. 552.05 respectively. So far 18428 shares were traded on the counter.

The BSE group 'A' stock of face value Rs. 10 has touched a 52 week high of Rs. 597.95 on 28-Jan-2020 and a 52 week low of Rs. 265.05 on 24-Mar-2020.

Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs. 565.85 and Rs. 524.75 respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs. 10692.64 crore.

The promoters holding in the company stood at 70.07%, while Institutions and Non-Institutions held 17.30% and 12.63% respectively.

The Department of Horticulture, Government of Telangana, has allotted area admeasuring 28,164 Hectares in the Mahabubabad District of Telangana to Godrej Agrovet, for the purpose of oil palm cultivation / expansion. The said allotment is subject to execution of Memorandum of Agreement and completion of other procedural requirements by the Company, within such time and in such manner as specified by the said Government.

Godrej Agrovet is a diversified, research and development focused agribusiness company with operations across five business verticals i.e. animal feed, crop protection, oil palm, dairy, and poultry and processed foods.
