Tata Steel gains on installing long pipe conveyor at West Bokaro Division

Tata Steel is currently trading at Rs. 646.60, up by 3.05 points or 0.47% from its previous closing of Rs. 643.55 on the BSE.

The scrip opened at Rs. 644.00 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 649.55 and Rs. 640.45 respectively. So far 504780 shares were traded on the counter.

The BSE group 'A' stock of face value Rs. 10 has touched a 52 week high of Rs. 653.30 on 31-Dec-2020 and a 52 week low of Rs. 250.90 on 30-Mar-2020.

Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs. 653.30 and Rs. 620.70 respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs. 77587.44 crore.

The promoters holding in the company stood at 34.41%, while Institutions and Non-Institutions held 41.57% and 23.08% respectively.

Tata Steel has installed a state-of-the-art Long Pipe Conveyor (LPC) at its opencast coal mines at West Bokaro Division. The Long Pipe Conveyor would improve the productivity and help in reducing the environmental footprint in coal logistics, significantly. In addition to the growth of technology in West Bokaro, the 4-km LPC project is an ambitious project of the Company. Doing away with the 61-year-old mono cable and bi-cable ropeway system, LPC is a state-of-the-art technology that reiterates Tata Steel’s commitment to safety and environment friendly sustainable mining practices.
