Andhra Bank jumps on reporting marginal rise in Q2 net profit

Andhra Bank is currently trading at Rs. 103.05, up by 0.40 points or 0.39% from its previous closing of Rs. 102.65 on the BSE.

The scrip opened at Rs. 101.05 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 104.00 and Rs. 99.55 respectively. So far 5, 60,000 shares were traded on the counter.

The BSE group 'A' stock of face value Rs. 10 has touched a 52 week high of Rs. 138.50 on 13-Mar-2012 and a 52 week low of Rs. 79.00 on 29-Dec-2011.

Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs. 107.00 and Rs. 99.55 respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs. 5,766 crore.

The promoters holding in the company stood at 58.00% while Institutions and Non-Institutions held 28.21% and 13.79% respectively.

The bank has registered marginal rise of 3.07% in its net profit at Rs 325.83 crore as compared to Rs 316.12 crore in the corresponding month previous year. The total income of the bank has also increased by 15.45% to Rs 3417.62 crore for the quarter under review as compared to Rs 2960.32 crore in the same month last year.

Gross non-performing assets (NPAs) rose to 3.48% in the quarter under review as against 2.67% in the same quarter previous year while net NPAs too rose to 2.16% from 1.48%.
