GIC Housing Finance gains on planning to raise funds worth Rs 2,500 crore

GIC Housing Finance is currently trading at Rs. 141.25, up by 0.80 points or 0.57% from its previous closing of Rs. 140.45 on the BSE.

The scrip opened at Rs. 138.05 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 144.10 and Rs. 138.00 respectively. So far 20075 shares were traded on the counter.

The BSE group 'A' stock of face value Rs. 10 has touched a 52 week high of Rs. 202.50 on 05-Aug-2021 and a 52 week low of Rs. 89.00 on 25-Sep-2020.

Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs. 159.60 and Rs. 138.00 respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs. 773.30 crore.

The promoters holding in the company stood at 42.41%, while Institutions and Non-Institutions held 7.05% and 50.54% respectively.

GIC Housing Finance is planning to raise funds by way of issue of redeemable non-convertible debentures/bonds on a private placement basis up to aggregate the limit of Rs 2,500 crore. The proposed funds are to be raised in one or more tranches. Shareholders' approval is being sought in the company's next annual general meeting (AGM) on September 27, 2021.

GIC Housing Finance’s primary business is granting housing loans to individuals and to persons/entities engaged in construction of houses/flats for residential purposes.
