TVS Motor, NHPC and SAIL to see some action today

TVS Motor Company has launched TVS 'Built To Order' (BTO) platform, marking its foray into the factory customisation and personalisation platform. The new business vertical, the TVS BTO platform will empower the customers to customise and personalise their vehicles when making a purchase, which will be built directly at the factory as per their requirement(s). This further strengthens the company's commitment to introducing first-in-class technologies and class-leading features in the segment.

NHPC has commissioned Unit 3 (60 MW) of Bairasiul Power Station (3 X 60 MW) in Himachal Pradesh after completion of Renovation and Modernization works. The commercial operation of Unit 3 of Bairasiul Power Station shall start from August 31, 2021.

In a bid to strengthen its products basket in competitive markets, Rourkela Steel Plant (RSP), a unit of PSU major Steel Authority of India (SAIL), has introduced rust preventive coating on inside surface of pipes for the first time.  The initiative is in line with the market-centric approach of the company to cater to demands of the customers.

NTPC has geared up to meet rising power demand and recorded electricity generation growth of 23 per cent over the previous year. The country is witnessing a sharp increase in power demand and NTPC is making all efforts for meeting demand as per the grid requirement. Under flexible utilisation of coal policy, NTPC is arranging coal at the stations where the stock position is critical.

Acrysil has further expanded production capacity by an additional 160,000 Quartz Sinks p.a. through Greenfield Project at Bhavnagar in Gujarat. Thus taking the Overall Capacity to 1,000,000 sinks (1 million sinks) p.a. The expansion in production capacity is to meet the growing demand of Quartz Kitchen Sinks in global market.

Goodluck India has been awarded Letter of Intent (LoI) by L&T for Bullet Train project in India. The Lol by L&T is for the prestigious calendar project of supply and fabrication of special bridges on the National High Speed Rail Track between Mumbai and Vapi (Bullet Train Project). The value of the order stands at Rs. 198.76 crore.

Steel Strips Wheels (SSWL) has signed a pact with Tata Steel Long Products to supply round bars of various grades. These products will target automotive customers in India.
