Jet Airways, India’s premier international airline, in a bid to increase its market share, will be launching its Delhi-Manila flight from December this year. By March 2013, the airlines will be acquiring 11 new Boeing 737-800 NR and by March 2012 three would be inducted in the fleet. The airline company plans to deploy the new aircraft to South East Asian, SAARC countries and the Gulf region.
Of the 11 new aircraft which the company will acquire, two Boeing 737-800 will have a 16 business and 138 economy class seating configuration complete with Jet Airways world-class in-flight entertainment system. The remaining nine Boeings would have eight business and 162 economy class seating configuration.
The airline company, today, received delivery of its first next generation Boeing 737-800 with Sky Interior. The induction of the new state-of-the-art Boeing 737-800 into Jet Airways’ young fleet is in keeping with the airline’s commitment to continually innovate and differentiate its product for a heightened in-flight experience.
Jet Airways currently operates a fleet of 97 aircraft, which includes 10 Boeing 777-300 ER aircraft, 12 Airbus A330-200 aircraft, 55 next generation Boeing 737-700/800/900 aircraft and 20 modern ATR 72-500 turboprop aircraft.
