Elgi Equipments, a leading manufacturer of air compressors, has acquired 100% stake in Patton’s Inc, a company based in Charlotte, USA. The acquisition, advised by MAPE Advisory Group, has been made through Elgi’s newly incorporated wholly owned US subsidiary, Elgi Compressors USA Inc.
This acquisition gives Elgi the access to a ready and well entrenched distribution and service reach. Elgi can exploit this network to build a larger sustainable business and add on the medical line of products, which can be leveraged in other markets in the future as well.
Back in August this year, the company acquired Rotair SpA through its Italian subsidiary prior to which it acquired French firm Belair SA for around $1 million in 2010.
