Tata Chemicals is reportedly planning to acquire the battery materials business of London-based Johnson Matthey at a valuation of $500-700 million. This will provide an edge to the Tata group in the fast-growing electric vehicle market.
Life Insurance Corporation of India (LIC) is all set to raise its stake in Kotak Mahindra Bank to nearly 10 per cent, after receiving approval from the Reserve Bank of India (RBI). Kotak Mahindra Bank has received intimation from LIC stating that the RBI had granted its approval to LIC, for increasing its holding in the bank up to 9.99 per cent of the paid-up equity share capital of the bank.

South West Pinnacle Exploration has received two Letters of Awards (LoA) for core drilling for ‘Preliminary Expolration for Graphite, Vanadium and associated minerals in Palamu District Jharkhand (G3) from Geological Survey of India (GSI). The aggregate value of both contracts is around Rs 1.29 crore including GST which is expected to be completed by current FY 2021-22.
