Maruti Suzuki India (MSI), the country’s largest carmaker has reported 12.45% increase in total sales for November at 103200 units as against 91772 units in the same month last year. The domestic sales of the company during the month stood at 90882 units, up by 9.67% compared to 82870 units in November last year. Additionally, the company’s export also registered growth of 38.37% during the month which stood at 12318 units as compared to 8902 units in November last year.
The company’s total passenger car sales in the domestic market rose by 2.35% to 74793 units from 73078 units in the same month of 2011. However, sales of the company's mini-segment cars, including M800, A-Star, Alto and WagonR, fell by 5.76% to 36679 units during the month from 38921 units in November last year.
The sale of compact segment vehicles comprising the Estilo, Swift and Ritz models, increase by 7.63% in sales to 23,849 units from 22,159 units in the same month a year ago. MSI's DZiRE model’s sale has increased by 29.79% to 13,502 units in November from 10,403 units in the same month last year. MSI's mid-sized sedan SX4 sales, however, dipped by 51.71% to 692 units last month from 1,433 units in November 2011.
