Jet Airways seeks government’s permission to lease two Airbus 330-300s

Private carrier, Jet Airways is looking for government’s permission to lease two Airbus 330-300s and it has written to the government to allow it to lease two Airbus A330s to induct in its fleet.  It will be deploying them on the Mumbai-Newark (US) route as part of its A330s fleet replacement plans. These planes are being leased from the GE Capital’s aviation arm and they will be replacing two A330s-200s that are going off lease.

Jet Airways currently operates a fleet of 99 aircraft, which include 10 Boeing 777-300 ER aircraft, 11 Airbus A330-200 aircraft, 58 next generation Boeing 737-700/800/900 aircraft and 20 modern ATR 72-500 turboprop aircraft.
