Reliance Infrastructure’s Mumbai Power Distribution has won the prestigious ‘India Power Awards 2012’ for Energy Efficiency Conservation and Demand Side Management (EEC & DSM).
The company effectively implemented EEC and DSM programme among power consumers through various platforms - Newsletter, Energy Bill, Energy Manager etc., as well as encouraged them to purchase Star rated energy efficient gadgets at discounted rates thereby sensitizing and educating them on energy conservation.
In the past, the company’s Dahanu Thermal Power Station had won the Maharashtra Energy Development Agency (MEDA) award for Excellence in Energy Conservation and Management in Thermal Power Station, consecutively for three years i.e. 2005, 2006 and 2008. This is the fourth energy conservation award that the company has won for the Mumbai distribution business.
