Ashoka Buildcon along with its consortium partner GVR Infra Project has emerged as the lowest bidder for KSHIP project at the bid opening meeting held on December 5, 2012 at Bangalore. The project is on annuity basis with the concession period of 10 years and KSHIP-II cost of the project is Rs 317.60 crore.
The consortium has jointly submitted the bid as Ashoka Buildcon 51% and GVR Infra Projects 49% with the Karnataka State Highways Improvement Project - II (KSHIP-II), Bangalore for - Design, Build, Finance, Operate, Maintain and Transfer (DBFOMT) the existing state highway (SH18) from Mudhol to Maharashtra Border with an approximate length amounting to 107.937 Kms in the Karnataka state on DBFOMT annuity basis.
Ashoka Buildcon builds and operates roads and bridges in India on a build, operate and transfer (BOT) basis. It currently operates one of the highest numbers of toll-based BOT projects in India.
