Bajaj Auto reports 15% fall in January sales

Bajaj Auto has reported 15 percent fall in total sales to 3,63,443 units in January 2022 as against 4,25,199 in the same month last year. Total domestic sales decreased by 12 percent to 1,49,656 units in January as compared to 1,70,757 units in January 2020. 

Total two-wheeler sales were down 16 percent at 3,23,430 units as compared to 3,84,936 units in the year-ago month. Commercial Vehicles sales stood at 40,013 units in January 2022 as against 40,263 units in January 2021, registering a fall of 1 percent. Meanwhile, exports of the company decreased by 16 percent to 2,13,787 units in the reporting month compared to 2,54,442 in the same month last year.   

Bajaj Auto is world’s fourth largest two and three-wheeler manufacturer. Bajaj Auto has three plants in all, two at Waluj and Chakan in Maharashtra and one plant at Pant Nagar in Uttaranchal.
