Hindustan Unilever (HUL) has decided to contribute Rs 50 lakh for relief and rehabilitation of people affected by the recent devastating floods in Andhra Pradesh. It has already handed over a cheque of Rs 25 lakh to the Chief Minister N. Kiran Kumar Reddy. This money has been given as contribution to Chief Minister's Relief Fund.
Other than that, the company will provide products, household items, food kits and rehabilitation material worth Rs 25 lakh. In 2009, HUL had contributed a sum of Rs 30 lakh to the Chief Ministers’ Flood Relief Fund.
