Hester Biosciences surges on getting Rs 60 crore grant from BIRAC to support COVID-19 vaccine manufacturing

Hester Biosciences is currently trading at Rs. 2765.25, up by 45.05 points or 1.66% from its previous closing of Rs. 2720.20 on the BSE.

The scrip opened at Rs. 2798.00 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 2829.80 and Rs. 2750.50 respectively. So far 1686 shares were traded on the counter.

The BSE group 'A' stock of face value Rs. 10 has touched a 52 week high of Rs. 3180.00 on 18-May-2021 and a 52 week low of Rs. 1964.40 on 12-Apr-2021.

Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs. 2800.95 and Rs. 2677.00 respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs. 2360.66 crore.

The promoters holding in the company stood at 53.73%, while Institutions and Non-Institutions held 0.82% and 45.45% respectively.

Hester Biosciences has received Rs 60 crore grant from Biotechnology Industry Research Assistance Council (BIRAC) to support COVID-19 vaccine manufacturing. Last year, a Memorandum of Understanding was inked between Bharat Biotech and Gujarat COVID Vaccine Consortium (GCVC) for the production of Covaxin. GCVC comprises Gujarat Biotechnology Research Centre, Hester Biosciences and OmniBRx Biotechnologies.

Hester Biosciences is engaged in the manufacturing of poultry vaccines.
