Gujarat Gas moves up on inking pact with Gujarat State Petroleum Corporation

Gujarat Gas Company is currently trading at Rs. 305.85, up by 0.40 points or 0.13% from its previous closing of Rs. 305.45 on the BSE.

The scrip opened at Rs. 305.20 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 306.80 and Rs. 305.00 respectively. So far 10302 shares were traded on the counter.

The BSE group 'B' stock of face value Rs. 2 has touched a 52 week high of Rs. 437.00 on 14-Mar-2012 and a 52 week low of Rs. 270.00 on 31-May-2012.

Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs. 306.95 and Rs. 305.10 respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs. 3922.53 crore.

The promoters holding in the company stood at 65.12% while Institutions and Non-Institutions held 23.41% and 11.47% respectively.

Gujarat Gas Company (GGCL) has inked pact with Gujarat State Petroleum Corporation on December 27, 2012. The company has entered into an agreement with Gujarat State Petroleum Corporation for the purchase of re-gasified LNG (RLNG) volumes of up to 1.1 mmscmd for the period from January 01, 2013 to January 31, 2013 on a firm basis. 

Gujarat Gas, a 65.12 per cent subsidiary of BG Asia, is India’s largest private sector natural gas distribution company in terms of sales volumes, with operations in Gujarat. The company distributes natural gas to domestic, commercial and industrial consumers, and compressed natural gas as automobile fuel, in the cities of Surat, Ankleshwar, Bharuch, and surrounding areas.
