UPL plunges after fire breaks out at its Ankleshwar Unit -1

UPL is currently trading at Rs. 789.35, down by 34.60 points or 4.20% from its previous closing of Rs. 823.95 on the BSE.

The scrip opened at Rs. 802.60 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 813.15 and Rs. 779.80 respectively. So far 190608 shares were traded on the counter.

The BSE group 'A' stock of face value Rs. 2 has touched a 52 week high of Rs. 864.75 on 08-Jun-2021 and a 52 week low of Rs. 625.00 on 24-Feb-2022.

Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs. 848.00 and Rs. 779.80 respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs. 59399.36 crore.

The promoters holding in the company stood at 28.45%, while Institutions and Non-Institutions held 53.10% and 10.72% respectively.

A fire occurred at one of the plants at UPL’s Ankleshwar Unit -1. The cause of the fire is being investigated. The company’s emergency response team, with the help of the local fire brigade have already brought the fire under control. The Company is committed to extend all assistance to the relevant authorities investigating into this matter.
