Amara Raja Group’s subsidiary company -- Amara Raja Power Systems has bagged a contract from NTPC to set up India's first green hydrogen fuelling station in Leh. The pilot project is being set up in Leh's extreme conditions at a height of 3,600 meters above sea level. This is in line with the government's vision of achieving net-zero carbon emission by 2070. The completion of the project would usher in a new era of emission-free transport in and around Leh. India would be among few countries to take a lead in this green mobility space.

Amara Raja Batteries is the flagship company of the group and is engaged in manufacturing of industrial and automotive batteries. The company was first to introduce Valve Regulated Lead Acid (VRLA) batteries with three year warranty in industrial and automotive applications.
