Coal India’s production rises by 12.8% to 60.7 MT in November

Coal India’s (CIL) coal production has increased by 12.8% to 60.7 million tonnes (MT) in November 2022 as against 53.8 MT in November 2021. The company’s production in the April- November 2022 period increased 16.8 per cent to 412.6 MT, compared with 353.4 MT in the year-ago period.   

The company's offtake decreased by 4.7% to 59.4 MT in November, 2022, over 56.7 MT in the corresponding month of the previous financial year. However, its offtake in the April- November 2022 period increased by 5.7% to 445.1 MT over 421.1 MT in the year-ago period.    

Coal India is the world’s largest coal mining company. It also produces non-coking coal and coking coal of various grades for diverse applications.
