Tata Steel has informed that it enclosed a copy of the Notice of Postal Ballot of Tata Steel (‘the Company’) dated December 16, 2022, along with the Statement pursuant to the applicable provisions of the Companies Act, 2013 read with the SEBI (Listing Obligations and Disclosure Requirements) Regulations, 2015, (‘Notice’), seeking approval of the Members of the Company on the Ordinary /Special resolution(s) forming part of the Notice. The Company is sending the Notice in electronic form to those Members whose e-mail addresses are registered with the Company/Registrar and Transfer Agent (‘RTA’) / Depositories and physical copy of the Notice along with Postal Ballot Form and pre-paid Business Reply Envelope is being sent to the Members whose e-mail addresses are not registered with the Company/RTA/Depositories, for this Postal Ballot. The Notice is being sent only to those Members whose names appear in the Register of Members / List of Beneficial Owners as received from Depositories / RTA as on Friday, December 9, 2022 (‘Cut-Off Date’). The voting rights of the Members shall be in proportion to their share of the paid-up equity share capital of the Company as on the Cut-Off Date. The voting period, for both remote e-Voting as well as voting through physical postal ballot form, commences on Monday, January 2, 2023, from 9.00 am (IST) and ends on Tuesday, January 31, 2023 at 5.00 pm (IST). The Company has engaged the services of National Securities Depository (‘NSDL’) to provide remote e-Voting facility to the Members whose e-mail addresses are registered with the Company/RTA/Depositories. The communication of the assent or dissent of the Members would take place through the remote e-voting system as well as through physical ballot form.
