UltraTech Cement, Alembic Pharmaceuticals and Tata Steel to see some action today

UltraTech Cement has commissioned 1.30 mtpa brownfield cement capacity at Hirmi, Chhattisgarh and 2.80 mtpa greenfield grinding capacity at Cuttack, Odisha. This forms part of the on-going capacity expansion. With this commissioning the company’s total cement manufacturing capacity in India now stands at 126.95 mtpa.

Alembic Pharmaceuticals has received an Establishment Inspection Report (EIR) from the US Food and Drug Administration (USFDA) for the inspection carried out by them at its Injectable Facility (F-3) at Karkhadi from August 18, 2022 to August 30, 2022. This was a pre-approval inspection for ANDAs filed with the USFDA. The company has already started receiving ANDA approvals manufactured at this facility.

Tata Steel has signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with Central Building Research Institute (CBRI), a constituent of the Council of Scientific and Industrial Research (CSIR), to collaborate on research, academic growth, and sustainable solutions in mining. Under the agreement, CBRI will provide scientific inputs to Tata Steel on slope stability analysis and control measures in mining areas and affordable and sustainable green housing technologies for the rehabilitation and resettlement of families in mining areas.

BMW Industries (BMWIL) has successfully inaugurated its Tube Mill facility at NH-6 unit, Kolkata on February 15, 2023. The company has signed a prestigious agreement with Tata Steel for the conversion of MS Pipes at this facility and the trial runs are scheduled to begin in March 2023. The contract will involve the conversion of 40,000 tons of MS Pipes which will ramp-up the company’s capacity at optimal utilization with a potential conversion revenue of Rs 15 crore over the contract duration of nine months till November 2023; with a renewal clause.

Shalby Academy, the healthcare education division of Shalby, has signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with the Indian Institute of Public Health University (IIPH), Gandhinagar, Gujarat to jointly develop and run a one?year Advance Management Program in Hospital Leadership, for capacity building of Healthcare Professionals in the India and abroad using the LMS platform of the University & Shalby Academy.

RailTel Corporation of India has received the work order from Bangalore Metro Rail Corporation for Supply, Installation Testing and Commissioning of the IT network infrastructure amounting to Rs. 27.07 crore (excluding taxes) and Comprehensive Annual Maintenance Contract amounting to Rs. 6.22 crore (excluding taxes) per year for 5 years extendable to 10 years.

RPP Infra Projects has won an order of Construction of Integrated Storm Water Drain Works in M1 & M2 Components in Kovalam Basin in expanded areas in Greater Chennai Corporation Package 4 covering various streets of zone 12 & 14 for the contract price of Rs 70.50 crore and is expected to be completed within 24 Months from the appointed date.
