Dalmia Bharat gains on reporting 36% growth in cement production in February’13

Dalmia Bharat is currently trading at Rs. 154.95, up by 3.95 points or 2.62% from its previous closing of Rs. 151.00 on the BSE.

The scrip opened at Rs. 153.05 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 157.00 and Rs. 153.00 respectively.

The BSE group 'B' stock of face value Rs. 2 has touched a 52 week high of Rs. 204.00 on 10-Jan-2013 and a 52 week low of Rs. 92.00 on 05-Jun-2012.

Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs. 169.00 and Rs. 150.20 respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs. 1,258 crore.

The promoters holding in the company stood at 62.80% while Institutions and Non-Institutions held 12.24% and 24.96% respectively

Dalmia Bharat along with its associates and subsidiaries has reported the cement production and despatch numbers for the month and year to date ending February, 2013.

The total cement production for the month of February 2013 stood at 835,000 tonnes, a growth of 36% compared to 613,000 tonnes for the month of February 2012. The cement despatch for the month of February 2013 stood at 838,000 tonnes, a growth of 33% compared to 629,000 tonnes for the month of February 2012.

Further, total cement production for financial year to date stood at 8,580,000 tonnes, a growth of 11% compared to 7,751,000 tonnes for the same period. The cement despatch from April to February 2013 stood at 8,551,000 tonnes, a growth of 10% compared to 7,763,000 tonnes for the same period.

Dalmia Bharat is a cement manufacturer with plants in Tamil Nadu and Andhra Pradesh with a capacity of nine million tonnes per annum. The company is engaged in the business of cement, thermal power & other businesses.
