Victorian government owned company Ecotech has signed a Joint Venture Agreement (JVA) with United Phosphorous subsidiary, Uniphos Envirotronic, to monitor air quality in India. This partnership extends beyond outsourcing of the manufacturing process, as it will include the export of Victorian innovation and expertise in clean technology to the domestic markets. Further through this development, Ecotech anticipates increasing its annual exports to India to over $2 million by 2015.
Minister for Innovation, Services and Small Business, Louise Asher, announced the new partnership as part of the initiatives undertaken during the Victorian Coalition Government's Super Trade Mission to India. The Mission hosted 180 representatives from 140 organisations to key centres, including Delhi, Bangalore, Hyderabad, Chennai, Pune, Mumbai, Kolkata, Ahmedabad and Gandhinagar.
Uniphos is part of United Phosphorous Group of companies, which is the largest gas detection instruments manufacturer in India
