State Bank of Travancore is currently trading at Rs 520.00, up by 1.15 points or 0.22% from its previous closing of Rs 518.85 on the BSE.

State Bank of Travancore (SBT) has introduced the 1,000th branch of the bank, the NRI Kottakkal branch, on March 30, 2013. The branch was formally inaugurated by Pratip Chaudhury, Chairman, State Bank Group. The entity currently has total 1012 branches and the total 1093 offices of the bank, which includes all administrative offices and processing centers.

The bank has reported 30.41% rise in its net profit at Rs 131.99 crore for third quarter ended December 31, 2012 as compared to Rs 101.21 crore for the same quarter in the previous year. Total income of the bank has increased by 20.45% at Rs 2297.15 crore for quarter under review as compared to Rs 1907.06 crore for the quarter ended December 31, 2011.
