Ricoh India rises on getting selected to supply 1 lakh tablet PCs to students in Chhattisgarh

Ricoh India is currently trading at Rs. 39.00, up by 0.05 points or 0.13% from its previous closing of Rs. 38.95 on the BSE.

The scrip opened at Rs. 39.00 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 39.00 and Rs. 39.00 respectively. So far 12 shares were traded on the counter.

The BSE group 'B' stock of face value Rs. 10 has touched a 52 week high of Rs. 91.85 on 29-Oct-2012 and a 52 week low of Rs. 32.65 on 26-Mar-2013.

Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs. 42.80 and Rs. 35.70 respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs. 155.10 crore.

The promoters holding in the company stood at 73.60%, while Institutions and Non-Institutions held 0.02% and 26.38% respectively.

Ricoh India has been selected by Chhattisgarh Infotech and Biotech Promotion Society (CHiPS) for supplying 1 lakh tablet PCs to final year degree college students in the Chhattisgarh state by June. The company has tied up with a Chinese manufacturer to supply these tablets and each unit will cost Rs 6,699 for the state government. These tablets are commercial model and have 9.7 inch multi-touch screen. It will have SIM slot which will support both 2G and 3G network.

CHiPS has selected the company under initiative launched by Chhattisgarh Chief Minister where the state government will distribute around 1 lakh tablets to students in final year of their graduation in any stream.
