Mercator sells Aframax Tanker ‘Omvati Prem’

Mercator has sold one of its Aframax Tanker ‘Omvati Prem’ built in 1994, capacity of 90,607 DWT. The company has recently sold its M. T. Kamakshi Prem to one of its subsidiaries in Singapore as a strategic decision. M. T. Kamakshi Prem is a very large crude carrier (VLCC) built in 2006 of 299,235 DWT capacity.

Mercator is the second-largest private sector shipping company on a consolidated basis in India, in terms of tonnage capacity. The group has a presence in varied segments namely shipping, offshore services, oil exploration and production, dredging, coal mining/trading and logistics.
