Honda Cars India launches new variants of small car ‘Brio

Honda Cars India, formerly a JV company between Honda Motor Company and Usha International of Siddharth Shriram Group, has launched new variants of its small car Brio with some upgrades, including driver seat height adjuster and rear windshield defogger, as an additional safety feature. The Honda Brio will be available in six variants -- EMT, EXMT, SMT, VMT, VXMT and VXAT.

The car is powered by a 4-cylinder 1.2-litre i-VTEC engine and gives fuel economy of 19.4 km/litre for manual transmission and 16.5 km/litre for automatic transmission. Further, the car comes with ‘Honda Care Maintenance Package’ for free periodic maintenance service up to 40,000 km or two years whichever occur firsts, at a cost of Rs 9996.

Honda Cars India, formerly known as Honda Siel Cars India, began operations in December 1995 as a joint venture between Honda Motor Company and Usha International of Siddharth Shriram Group. In August, 2012, Honda bought out Usha Internationals entire 3.16% for 1.8 billion in the joint venture. Now the company is 100% subsidiary of the Honda Motor Company, Japan.
