Jet Airways passenger tariff declines 5% for FY13

Jet Airways passenger tariff has declined by 5% for FY13. High fuel cost and rupee depreciation have impacted operating result of the company. Meanwhile, the company has either sold or leased out excess capacity to other airlines.

In separate development, Jet Airways’ promoter Naresh Goyal is planning to divest 5% stake in the company for Rs 253 crore to meet the SEBI’s norms of 25% public float. The promoter will sell the same through offer for sale (OFS) route which is likely to be done before May 30.

Jet Airways currently operates a fleet of 115 aircraft, which include 10 Boeing 777-300 ER aircraft, 10 Airbus A330-200 aircraft, 4 Airbus A330-300 aircraft, 73 next generation Boeing 737-700/800/900 aircraft, 17 ATR 72-500 and 1 ATR 72-600 turboprop aircraft.
