Sakthi Sugars trades in green on the BSE

Sakthi Sugars is currently trading at Rs. 17.20, up by 0.10 points or 0.58% from its previous closing of Rs. 17.10 on the BSE.

The scrip opened at Rs. 17.00 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 17.20 and Rs. 16.75 respectively.

The BSE group 'T' stock of face value Rs. 10 has touched a 52 week high of Rs. 34.70 on 12-Oct-2012 and a 52 week low of Rs. 16.80 on 27-May-2013.

Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs. 18.70 and Rs. 16.80 respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs. 61.65 crore.

The promoters holding in the company stood at 34.39% while Institutions and Non-Institutions held 2.63% and 62.98% respectively.

Sakthi Auto Component (SACL) has become a subsidiary company of Sakthi Sugars pursuant to allotment of equity shares by SACL to holder of Convertible Preference Shares on exercising the conversion option, the company’s shareholding percentage in SACL has come down to 65%.

Sakthi Sugars earlier held 100% equity share capital of SACL and as such SACL was the wholly owned subsidiary of the company.

Sakthi Sugars is one of the largest producers of sugar in India with a capacity of over 13,500 tonnes of cane crushing per day. It has units / plants in the states of Tamil Nadu and Orissa.
