30 May 2013 Evaluate

Finance Ministry is likely to take up Jet-Eithad deal for approval on June 11. Currently, the finance ministry, in consultation with the Department of Industrial Policy and Promotion (DIPP), is in the process of defining 'control' in companies. Given that Foreign Investment Promotion Board would give a nod to the deal only after the Centre notifies the new definition of 'control' in a firm, which is in line with the new Companies Bill.
