The Company’s net profit for the second quarter of the current fiscal has declined by 10.37% at Rs 1050.6 crore as compared to Rs 1172.1 crore for the corresponding quarter of the previous fiscal. The company’s total Income has increased by 19.69% at Rs 8011.5 crore for the quarter under review as compared to Rs 6693.7 crore for the second quarter of the previous year.
On consolidated basis, the group’s net profit has increased marginally by 1.25% at Rs 1300.9 crore for the quarter as compared to Rs 1284.9 crore for the similar quarter a period ago. Company’s total Income for the quarter ended September 30, 2011 has increased by 18.20% at Rs 9305.8 crore whereas the same stood at Rs 7872.70 crore for the quarter ended September 30, 2010.
Bangalore-based Wipro forecast third-quarter revenue of $ 1.50 billion to $ 1.53 billion from its IT services unit, which accounts for three-quarters of its total revenue, a rise of 2% to 4.1% from the second quarter.
