Hindalco Industries’ board has approved an acquisition of fabrication facility of Home Build Tech India (HBT) for cash consideration of around Rs 34 crore, by way of entering into a binding memorandum of understanding (MoU).
The acquisition shall be effectuated through a Special Purpose Vehicle (to be incorporated as a wholly owned subsidiary of the Company), as a part of the transaction. Objects of acquisition is to accelerate the retail business of ‘Eternia’, a downstream brand of the company. The said acquisition is expected to be competed in 4-6 months.
