Amara Raja Batteries trades in green on the BSE

 Amara Raja Batteries is currently trading at Rs. 253.75, up by 4.80 points or 1.93 % from its previous closing of Rs. 248.95 on the BSE.

The scrip opened at Rs. 250.90 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 257.45 and Rs. 246.60 respectively. So far 9447 shares were traded on the counter.

The BSE group 'A' stock of face value Rs. 1 has touched a 52 week high of Rs. 328.00 on 30-Jan-2013 and a 52 week low of Rs. 145.00 on 27-Jul-2012.

Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs. 258.80 and Rs. 246.00 respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs. 4334.37 crore.

The promoters holding in the company stood at 52.06% while Institutions and Non-Institutions held 25.38% and 22.56% respectively.

Credit rating agency, Crisil has up-graded rating of Amara Raja Batteries’ long term bank facilities to AA+ from AA. Further, the rating agency has also reaffirmed the rating of the company’s long term bank facilities at A1+.

Amara Raja Batteries (ARBL) is engaged in manufacturing of industrial and automotive batteries. It was founded in 1985. ARBL was first to introduce Valve Regulated Lead Acid (VRLA) batteries with three-year warranty in industrial and automotive applications.
