Apollo Hospitals Enterprise has entered into definitive agreement to build and operate a 500-bed hospital to be established in a premium location in Worli, Mumbai. Along with its existing multispecialty facility in Navi Mumbai, and its clinics network, this development is set to make Apollo Hospitals Mumbai's premier healthcare provider, catering to every healthcare need of Mumbai's residents.
The hospital is expected to be operational in 4 years and is envisioned to redefine holistic health by integrating advanced diagnostic screening, state-of-the-art surgical care-including cutting-edge robotics-and comprehensive high-end therapies across specialties such as cardiology, oncology, gynaecology, neurology, orthopaedics, intensive care and more. With Apollo Hospitals' proven expertise in these Centres of Excellence, and with its commitment to exceptional emergency and trauma services, the facility will be equipped with international-grade medical equipment along with highly skilled and experienced Doctors from India and abroad. Patients will receive world-class care at an accessible price, with costs anticipated at just one-tenth of those typically seen for similar treatments worldwide, making the hospital a trusted destination for quality and affordable healthcare.
In addition to the Mumbai facility, Apollo Hospitals is also expanding its existing hospital facility in Lucknow to 500 beds, by adding another 200 beds, to be developed on their recent acquisition of 1.2-acres of land adjacent to their existing facility. This expansion is set to be complete and operational in 3 years.
With these 2 additions, Apollo Hospitals now has plans to add over 3512 capacity beds (2877 census/ operational beds) over the next 4 years across 11 locations in India. Total Estimated project cost for these projects at 11 locations is estimated at around Rs 6,100 crore of which over Rs 1,700 crore have been already incurred for land acquisition, security deposits, project development as applicable, until now. The remaining project costs expected to be incurred over the next 3-4 years is around Rs 4,400 crore to be funded primarily through existing funds and Internal accruals.
