Godawari Power shines on getting nod to acquire 60% stake in R. G. Pigments

Godawari Power and Ispat is currently trading at Rs. 204.80, up by 6.85 points or 3.46% from its previous closing of Rs. 197.95 on the BSE.

The scrip opened at Rs. 198.85 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 206.30 and Rs. 195.90 respectively. So far 180799 shares were traded on the counter.

The BSE group 'A' stock of face value Rs. 1 has touched a 52 week high of Rs. 244.59 on 16-Jul-2024 and a 52 week low of Rs. 121.41 on 07-Nov-2023.

Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs. 206.30 and Rs. 184.25 respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs. 13717.33 crore.

The promoters holding in the company stood at 63.49%, while Institutions and Non-Institutions held 8.96% and 27.54% respectively.

Godawari Power and Ispat has received approval to acquire up to 60% equity stake in R. G. Pigments (RGP) for a consideration of Rs 56.75 crore. RGP is engaged in business of recycling of non-ferrous metals industrial waste. The Board of Directors of the company at its meeting held on November 6, 2024, has approved the same. 

Godawari Power and Ispat is engaged in the production of sponge iron, steel billets, ferro alloys, HB wires, oxygen, fly ash bricks and is also in the power business.
