DB Corp’s advertisement revenue increased 21% in Q1

Media firm DB Corp’s advertisement revenue has increased by 21 per cent to Rs 345 crore in Q1 FY14 as compared to Rs 286 crore in a year ago period. The advertisement revenue were mainly driven by high education, lifestyle, and auto sector spends.

The company reported 74.31 per cent rise in consolidated net profit at Rs 76.09 crore for the first quarter ended June 30, 2013 as compared to Rs 43.65 crore in the same period of previous fiscal. Meanwhile, net sales of the company stood at Rs 422.03 crore in the April-June quarter, compared to Rs 352.31 crore during the same period of previous fiscal. 

DB Corp is the only media conglomerate that enjoys a leadership position in multiple states, in multiple languages and is a dominant player in its all major markets. The company’s other business interests also span the radio segment through the brand - MY FM - radio station with presence in 7 states and 17 cities and a strong online presence in internet portals.
