Hindustan Zinc reports 2% fall in mined metal output in Q3FY25

Hindustan Zinc's mined metal output declined 2 per cent to 2,65,000 tonnes in the December quarter (Q3 FY25) on Year-on-Year (YoY) basis due to lower ore production at Agucha and SK mines partly offset by improved mined metal grades and mill recovery. 

The refined metal production in the third quarter stood at 2,59,000 tonnes. Under which, Refined zinc production and Refined lead production stood at 2,04,000 tonnes and 55,000 tonnes respectively.  Further, wind power generation in the third quarter of the current fiscal was 47 Million Units (MU), declined 14 per cent from the last fiscal. 

Hindustan Zinc, the world’s second biggest zinc producer, operates the world’s third largest open-pit mine, and world’s largest Zinc Mine in Rampura Agucha, Rajasthan.
