M&M reports 16% rise in overall auto sales in January

Mahindra & Mahindra (M&M) has reported a 15.54% rise in its overall auto sales (including exports) at 85,432 units for the month of January 2025 as compared to 73,944 units in the same month last year. Of the total, the company has posted 18% increase in domestic passenger vehicles sales at 50659 units in January 2025, as compared to 43068 units of passenger vehicles in January 2024. 

Domestic sales of three-wheelers, including 3Ws, were at 7452 units in January 2025, as compared to 5649 units in January 2024, a growth of 32%. The domestic sales for Commercial Vehicles (LCV 2 T - 3.5 T) stood at 19209 vehicles. Sales of Commercial Vehicles (LCV > 3.5T + MHCV) stood at 1167 units. The exports of the company increased 95% to 3404 units in January 2025 as compared to 1746 units in January 2024.

M&M is the flagship company of the Mahindra Group, a multinational conglomerate based in Mumbai, India. Amongst the various business interests of its parent group, the company is mainly involved in the automobile manufacturing. It is one of the leading auto companies of India.
