Jana Small Finance Bank surges on getting licence to act as Authorized Dealer Category-I

Jana Small Finance Bank is currently trading at Rs. 453.70, up by 15.05 points or 3.43% from its previous closing of Rs. 438.65 on the BSE.

The scrip opened at Rs. 438.65 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 490.70 and Rs. 435.30 respectively. So far 129907 shares were traded on the counter.

The BSE group 'B' stock of face value Rs. 10 has touched a 52 week high of Rs. 760.85 on 19-Jun-2024 and a 52 week low of Rs. 364.00 on 21-Jan-2025.

Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs. 490.70 and Rs. 404.55 respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs. 4748.65 crore.

The promoters holding in the company stood at 22.35%, while Institutions and Non-Institutions held 18.97% and 58.68% respectively.

Jana Small Finance Bank has received licence from Reserve Bank of India (RBI) to act as Authorized Dealer Category-I (AD-I) under section 10 of FEMA, 1999 to deal in foreign exchange subject to compliance of applicable regulations in this regard. 

Authorized dealer Category I Banks, popularly known as AD Cat I Banks, are the banks with an RBI license to buy and sell foreign exchange for specified purposes. Such banks aim to ease the foreign exchange facilities for NRI.
