IndiGo shifts operations temporarily from Terminal 2 to Terminal 1 at Delhi Airport

16 Apr 2025 Evaluate

InterGlobe Aviation (IndiGo) successfully shifted its operations temporarily from Terminal 2 to Terminal 1, a recently renovated terminal at Indira Gandhi International Airport, Delhi. This effort involved relocating over 125 daily departures to Terminal 1 in a single day, bringing the total number of daily departures from Terminal 1 to over 200 flights a day.

The airline had proactively informed its customers about the transition and ensured a smooth transfer by deploying an additional workforce at the airport to ensure customer convenience. While prior information was sent to the registered contact details, a well-channeled mechanism was built to ensure assistance to passengers to get them to the right terminal. Terminal 2 is expected to re-open for operations after summer 2025.

InterGlobe Aviation provides air transportation services in India and internationally. The company primarily operates IndiGo passenger airline.
