The BSE group 'B' stock of face value Rs. 2 has touched a 52 week high of Rs. 155.95 on 31-Dec-2012 and a 52 week low of Rs. 88.65 on 24-Jul-2013.

Radico Khaitan, makers of Magic Moments vodka and 8 PM whisky, reportedly has initiated preliminary talks to sell 26% stake in the company to Japan's oldest liquor company Suntory Holdings, in a deal which could be valued to Rs 870 crore. Further, the proposed deal is likely to include a provision to acquire another 23% stake at a later date.
This development highlights the growing lure of the local liquor market to foreign firms, given that British drinks giant Diageo, back in November, 2012, had acquired 53.4% in Vijay Mallya's United Spirits (USL) for close to Rs 12,000 crore.
Radico Khaitan is one of the India's oldest and largest liquor manufacturers. The company owns three millionaire brands namely 8 PM Whisky, Contessa Rum and Old Admiral Brandy.
