Maharaja Shree Umaid Mills featured in Forbes Asia - 200 Best under a Billion

Maharaja Shree Umaid Mills has been selected by the Forbes in their list of the prestigious 'Best under a Billion’ in Asia-Pacific region with turnover of $97 million, net income of $34 million and market value of $69 million. It is the only Indian entry in this list with business of textile. The list has been published in their September 2011 edition that enlists 200 top companies spread over the region.

The selection of the elite companies is based upon the growth in the sales and earnings in last 12 months and over 3 years. To qualify, the company must be public listed and should have annual revenues between $5 million to $1 billion. Essentially, the list of 2011 has the picks of the companies that have best managed through the economic volatility that began in 2008. Most of the selected companies navigated the global credit crunch with negligible debts on their balance sheets.
