Cox & Kings rises on reporting 8% rise in Q2 net profit

Cox & Kings is currently trading at Rs. 210.70, up by 0.60 points or 0.29% from its previous closing of Rs. 210.10 on the BSE.

The scrip opened at Rs. 209.00 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 211.40 and Rs. 208.00 respectively. So far 5039 shares were traded on the counter.

The BSE group 'B' stock of face value Rs. 5 has touched a 52 week high of Rs. 280.00 on 13-Dec-2010 and a 52 week low of Rs. 179.55 on 15-Mar-2011.

Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs. 231.80 and Rs. 207.15 respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs. 2868.45 crore.

The promoters holding in the company stood at 58.66% while Institutions and Non-Institutions held 27.08% and 11.09% respectively.  

Cox & Kings (India) has reported results for the second quarter ended September 30, 2011.

The company’s net profit for the quarter has rose 8.20% at Rs 12.41 crore as compared to Rs 11.47 crore for the corresponding quarter of the previous year. The company’s income from operation has increased by 24.46% at Rs 54.55 crore for the quarter under review from Rs 43.83 crore for the corresponding quarter of the previous fiscal.

The EBITDA for Q2FY12 stood at Rs 54.38 crore as against Rs 48.79 crore in Q2FY11; an increase of 11.45%. The EBITDA earnings per share (EPS) stood at Rs 2.01 as compared to Rs 2.71 in the corresponding period of last quarter, after considering exceptional items.
