Orient Green Power Company strengthens on getting nod to divest 26% holding in WOS

Orient Green Power Company is currently trading at Rs. 10.66, up by 0.03 points or 0.28% from its previous closing of Rs. 10.63 on the BSE.

The scrip opened at Rs. 10.75 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 10.88 and Rs. 10.60 respectively. So far 4398 shares were traded on the counter.

The BSE group 'B' stock of face value Rs. 10 has touched a 52 week high of Rs. 15.95 on 27-Feb-2013 and a 52 week low of Rs. 9.90 on 31-Oct-2012.

Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs. 11.23 and Rs. 10.53 respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs. 605.57 crore.

The promoters holding in the company stood at 76.35% while institutions and non-institutions held 9.06% and 14.59% respectively.

Orient Green Power Company’s Board of director in its meeting held on September 23, 2013 has approved to divest 26% of the Equity shares held in the wholly owned subsidiaries, namely Global Powertech Equipments, Shriram Powergen and Shriram Non- Conventional Energy.

The above was necessitated due to the decision taken to shift to Group Captive Model by the subsidiaries which entails participation of not less than 26% of the shareholding in the subsidiaries by the Group Captive consumers of power.
