Exide Industries reports marginal fall in Q2 net profit

Exide Industries has reported results for the second quarter ended September 30, 2013.

The company has reported 1.30% fall in its net profit at Rs 118.63 crore for the quarter as compared to Rs 120.20 crore for the same quarter in the previous year. Total income of the company has decreased by 6.96% at Rs 1435.74 crore for quarter under review as compared to Rs 1543.16 crore for the quarter ended September 30, 2012.

Exide Industries manufactures the widest range of storage batteries in the world from 2.5 Ah to 20,400 Ah capacities, covering the broadest spectrum of applications. EIL is India’s largest producer of automotive and industrial batteries, with seven manufacturing plants strategically located across the country.
