Gammon India trades lower on reporting net loss of Rs 261.54 crore in Q2

Gammon India is currently trading at Rs. 13.10, down by 0.22 points or 1.65% from its previous closing of Rs. 13.32 on the BSE.

The scrip opened at Rs. 13.30 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 13.31 and Rs. 13.01 respectively. So far 4029 shares were traded on the counter.

The BSE group 'T' stock of face value Rs. 2 has touched a 52 week high of Rs. 43.20 on 07-Jan-2013 and a 52 week low of Rs. 8.15 on 28-Aug-2013.

Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs. 13.85 and Rs. 13.01 respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs. 181.55 crore.

The promoters holding in the company stood at 34.99% while Institutions and Non-Institutions held 28.81% and 36.20% respectively.

Gammon India has reported results for the second quarter ended September 30, 2013.

The company has reported a net loss of Rs 261.54 crore for the quarter as compared to a net loss of Rs 39.44 crore for the same quarter in the previous year.  Total income from operation of the company has decreased by 3.89% at Rs 1045.58 crore for quarter under review as compared to Rs 1087.95 crore for the quarter ended September 30, 2012.

Gammon India provides engineering services and construction of services. It operates in plan, design and undertakes construction of roads, highways, bridges and other projects.
