Tata Power is currently trading at Rs. 79.55, up by 1.40 points or 1.79% from its previous closing of Rs. 78.10 on the BSE.
The scrip opened at Rs. 78.80 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 79.65 and Rs. 78.40 respectively. So far 1, 19,000 shares were traded on the counter.
The BSE group 'A' stock of face value Rs. 1 has touched a 52 week high of Rs. 113.20 on 05-Dec-2012 and a 52 week low of Rs. 68.25 on 06-Aug-2013.
Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs. 79.25 and Rs. 76.60 respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs. 18,877 crore.
The promoters holding in the company stood at 32.47% while Institutions and Non-Institutions held 48.38% and 15.97% respectively.
Encouraged by the response in phase I, Tata Power, India’s largest integrated power company, has launched phase II of ‘Akshay Urja Deep’ programme through its wholly-owned subsidiary, Coastal Gujarat Power (CGPL) in Mundra. Under the programme, 131 boat owners residing temporarily at Tragadi Bunder have been identified and would be provided with solar boat light systems in order to help them better earn their livelihood.
As a precursor, the company has already provided boat light systems to 51 boat owners belonging to different migratory groups. Another 80 such systems will be provided to local boat owners in Bhadreshwar, Tuna, Vandi, Luni, Sanghar and Tragad.
