TAKE Solutions’ mobile supply chain has been successfully deployed by Midmark Corporation across manufacturing operations with former’s enterprise mobility portfolio of solutions. Leveraging TAKE’s mobility portfolio with its existing Oracle E-Business Suite application, Midmark has the control and visibility into real-time inventory to reduce out-of-the box failures directly from handheld scanners on the shop floor. Further, Midmark plans to roll-out a second of three deployments by early 2012.
Midmark deployed TAKE Solutions’ Gemini and Compliance Label Manager solution suites to provide mobile data collection using wireless scanning devices, thereby increasing the availability of real-time information on receiving, shipping, and inventory activity across its supply chain.
Solution’s pick confirm scanning functionalities helps parcel shipping eliminate manual picking errors of incorrect product and quantities, thereby reducing out-of-the-box failures by 75% within a month of implementation. Coupled with Pick Confirm, Move Order functionalities help floor operations accurately transact material movement within Midmark’s manufacturing facilities for shipping locations around the world, establishing verification and product scanning procedures, improving cycle-time and ensuring appropriate delivery on all transactions. Further, label manager helps ensure accurate product identification and real-time label printing via wireless printers on the shop floor.
