ONGC trades in fine fettle on BSE

Oil & Natural Gas Corporation (ONGC) is currently trading at Rs. 289.00, up by 4.65 points or 1.64 % from its previous closing of Rs. 284.35 on the BSE.

The scrip opened at Rs. 285.00 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 289.80 and Rs. 284.50 respectively. So far 130699 shares were traded on the counter.

The BSE group 'A' stock of face value Rs. 5 has touched a 52 week high of Rs. 354.10 on 18-Jan-2013 and a 52 week low of Rs. 234.40 on 28-Aug-2013.

Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs. 286.15 and Rs. 271.50 respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs. 247168.11 crore.

The promoters holding in the company stood at 69.23% while Institutions and Non-Institutions held 17.13% and 13.65% respectively.

ONGC’s overseas arm - ONGC Videsh (OVL) has bagged the best PSU award in the oil and gas sector at the Dainik Bhaskar India Pride Awards on December 19, 2013. The company received the prestigious award from Union Minister of Human Resource Development and the chief guest on the occasion.

OVL is a wholly owned subsidiary of Oil and Natural Gas Corporation (ONGC), the National Oil Company of India, and is India’s largest international oil and gas E&P Company. OVL is currently producing 160 thousand barrels of oil and oil equivalent gas per day and has total oil and gas reserves of about 433 mmtoe as on March 31, 2013.
