Spanco has emerged victorious in the bid for implementing, managing and operating common service centres (CSC) for 3 zones in the state of Punjab. The project is a part of core infrastructure and a key milestone in achieving citizen centric governance under National eGovernance Plan. Spanco has been appointed as service centre agency (SCA) for a period of 5 years and will manage 376 CSCs in Mansa, Bhatinda, Moga, Muktsar, Faridkot and Ferozepur.
Under the contract Spanco, will be responsible for site preparation, maintenance of civil infrastructure, maintenance of digital infrastructure, selection and training of village level entrepreneur (VLE), security, branding and awareness, and operations management for the duration of the project.
As an SCA, the company's objective will include, provision of speedy and efficient services in conformity with the service level to the users without any discrimination on grounds of religion, race, caste or sex; making it convenient for citizens and other stakeholders to interact with the government; educating the users about the relevant procedures.
